Honestly that might be for the better, this manga has gotten worse lately. In this chapter, Naofumi is anything but a hero, he's plain stupid at this point. Like, it was said in previous chapters that the audience could help and you're surprised that there are mages buffing your enemies and debuffing you? The fight was already unfair and you're surprised that they pulled this extra match to take you down? Really, you went through so much, you should know by this point, it's just not good writing...

You are aware that this manga is already an adaptation of a Light Novel, right? And that worse arcs are yet to come?
Also, I am not concerned with the writing in this, it entertains me as it is.

Anime will go ahead the manga obviously, but I like that manga will most likely fill out the gaps it most likely skipp like usual.

It's hard to get a reasonably good animated adaptation...

For more clarity, the spells and techniques they learn aren't things granted by the worlds status system. The weapon or world might update their status to include energy to match their awareness of it but the fact they learned and can use it has nothing to do with what world they're in. Same goes for regular magic, dragon magic, or song magic.

Well even if he wanted to...he was being blocked by ceremonial? ritual? magic...it's the same type the Pope and the bad church casted on them, with many "mages" it's harder to counter and has more power. So it would be hard to do something even more so because they're also dampening their stats by casting status down... like how a knight did to help the bad princess during the chocobo race casting "speed down" but for all stats.
