I was just mentally pronouncing it "galleon", like the ship.
Well, the dub for the anime seems to go with what is essentially the pronunciation of "Galleon".
If you're wonder how the raws went, it's「ガエリオン Gaerion」which would be "Gah-Eh-Leon" phonetically... I suppose.
