Well, Uta seriously did consider destroying her new family and relationship with her brother (who's been shown nothing but caring - if not a little aloof - towards her), just for the sake of having a very unlikely shot at her own personal "happiness" (without care about happiness of others). All that without knowing - or suspecting - adultery on Reiichi's part.

...while i understand that this is Yuri Hime serialization (so nobody gives a fuck about "het"), does it really have to be like almost every other crap that's already out there? If you want "happy endings" (sic!), unrealistic realizations of one's sexuality, cast full of gay, and cheap narrative tricks ("illusions Michael") redeeming characters in eyes of the reader, you can pick up random GL manga and eight out of ten times you'll get exactly that. Here i was "promised" angsty slice of life coming of age story, but it looks like i'll be getting the usual.
And on a side note, no wonder people are afraid of doing things differently - i don't know how it was received in Japan, but i remember all the bitching that "Kanojo to Camera to Kanojo no Kisetsu" - from the same artist that later drew the joy that is "Tsuru Tsuru to Zara Zara no Aida" - got from yuridom in the west, while it was still being translated (funny thing though, i don't think they were that title's targeted audience).
