I dunno if that's a translation or just him being a sociopathic dick, but it just made him sound like an idiot, which was funny.

If you look at his face, he has 'manga sociopath' features on it. Basically, when someone is psycho in manga, they tend to have a certain look to their face. Good examples of that are basically all humans in Her Majesty's Swarm. Of course, the most dangerous thing about Sociopaths/Psychopaths in real life is how they blend in and AREN'T so apparent... but Manga do things like give all hot blooded characters red hair.

Anyways part of me thinks that she is actually hearing him say all those nice & pervert things about her that she'll be subconsciously aware of it when not hypnotized. all of the Hypnosis "victim" think everything that happen while in the Hypnosis state is a dream and a very nice dream at that. They know they are comforted by a "nice guy" in their dream but they doesn't know who is that guy. They just think MC is resemble to that guy in their dream.

I'm thinking that maybe she retains some level of memory of what happened during hypnosis, or maybe that retention grows with repeated use. Like the first time when she opened up about what had happened to her, she held onto a sense of trust in the MC, even if she doesn't remember the conversation, and now she might start remembering more, or just hold onto the fact he's looking out for her

It's honestly not bad at all. Having kept up with the novel as it's been translated, I can say that while it has it's clumsily written moments, there's a lot of interesting stuff too. Also pretty funny (I mean the guy made this scumbag run through the street naked lmao). Not sure what people were annoyed about to warrant so many low ratings, I wonder did they want the MC to be an actual piece of shit who uses the hypnosis app like in porn? Because that's sort of the opposite of the premise of this one (kinda).

I kinda like this protag. The balance between him being a horny teenage bastard and having enough of a conscience to back off when he's about to cross a line you can't walk back is interesting. Alternatively, he's just wussing out due to social programming, but that's still fairly engaging. I wonder how long the author can maintain this equilibrium without it getting tedious and if we'll move past it before it does.
