Is it bad in Japan if we don't remember someone's full name? In my country we always call people with their first name, tbh I don't even remember my best friend's full name.
I think as long as they remember their name is fine though. Especially in hospital, where they need to remember a lot of names, including their patients who will keep changing. Ask him if he remember his patients' names.
