I don't know, man. How about you stop using your levels and buy equipment using money instead? Also, how are you level 15 and struggling with a slime. Well, given it's not yet shown what level the other adventurers are but to be level 15 and struggle with a slime is weird. How is he the only one struggling?

I feel either the translation or manga didn't explain it well. he can't spend his skill points when he levels up because???
is it because the points and skills are taken back when he consumes levels or is it because he only earned skill points the first time he leveled up??? :questionblob:

its a nice idea to exchange levels for items or skills, but the story is badly written. the MC hardly killed three slimes, and before getting the spear skill, he farms to lvl 49 and kills the boss? makes no fricking sense, and Im not starting to write about the stupid storyline with the rich kid.

I'm sure there's a videogame out there where you pay levels for something... but what is that game?
A lot of games have "respec" where you often pay gold or other resources to refund your skill points, so you can then pick different skills. There are manga that have "respec" in them too because fiction takes inspiration from real life.

A lot of roguelikes give you "double-edged sword"-style choices but I don't think I've seen level in those.

Normally the boss door is a one-way door and not a one-way barrier. It's functionally the same but I don't think I've ever seen a one-way barrier that will only let you in and won't let you out. The usual one-way barrier is there to keep you out of somewhere you're not supposed to be (either not strong enough, don't have the key, or sometimes other conditions) but will let you out once you're inside.
