He really is leveling way to fast for it to not have been super useful to have him in the party even when all he could do was make items.
22 levels from 1 monster, I don't know what a healing potion cost him to make but i guess it is at least close to the mana potion, so that's 2 potions for 1 monster, that has to be worth it for a party.
