To be fair, healing potions might be the one thing that's supply-demand-proof in a world where adventurers go on dangerous, life-threatening missions. An increase in the potion supply means adventurers can take more, bigger risks, which could increase their earning power.

For a potion that already fall into demand, 2-3 times number of potion that he already created wont even make it stable on a short period, it will need quite a time to make the potion into a surplus, even with that he can control the number to make it balance so the price wont fall from the bonus or normal price...
