At this point is there any trope in any series of any genre of any medium peoples haven't complained about? maybe it's because i read too many comments but it feels every single will have peoples arguing about even some miniscule detail like blade-licking.
also the trope exist for a reason because some peoples do find it "cool or intimidating or creepy",even if some other doesn't think so.
I feel it's more of a case of being used to it,cause i remember myself or many others when first experiencing this genre it was such an unusual thing that it defiently had a sense of creepiness or coolness,obviously seeing it constantly can make the effect fade and being tired of it or maybe not interested in it in the first place but if we keep taking all of that into account no trope would be put in those series anymore due to that line of thinking
