Ngl yall are being a bit too mean about the manga.
Honestly the art isn't the best and in the first chapter the story was so odd and goofy that combined with the art I honestly thought this was some weird parody thing. I started reading it ironically, intending on putting it down after a chapter or 2 and never thinking about it again. But now I've grown to really like it - the characters are endearing, interesting and easy to grow attached to, the story is relatively engaging and there are alot of moments I actually found pretty funny. It's not Picasso or anything and it has its problems but but I don't need to be reading peak fiction to have a good time. I remember being like 30 chapters in and realising with such shock that I was actually, unironically really into it.
I think it's because the writing is good enough to the point where I can look past the art, and the author has improved to the point where the art doesn't really bother me either. I've actually grown to like the art tbh. Or at the very least, I like the character designs alot (except the suits, they're so annoying to distinguish between😭). I think the characters' personalities shine through their designs and they're all unique, fun to look at and easily distinguishable.
I also liked seeing the (admittedly really bad) drawings get better over time. It's still not the greatest but you can tell that the author has made alot of progress compared to where they started and they can adequately convey the vision they have in their mind. Like the visual gags in the comedic bits actually hit and the shift in art style for the more serious bits are done really well. It makes me forget that I'm reading a manga where the artstyle is considered unprofessional/complained about because it flows just like a normal manga would and I get just as engrossed in it.
There's definitely something good here but the author just lacks the professional drawing skills to properly show it. So it gets automatically dismissed as rubbish.
