Many countries in the world are also experiencing an aging population and sub-replacement fertility rate. For example, Russia recently raised the retirement age and reduced benefits, resulting in a large approval rating hit to Putin.

Inio foresees a very Japanese approach and future with mecha death squads piloted by 're-educated' seniors. Very powerful oneshot by such an interesting mangaka, hope more people read it.

The world is going to be forced to change drastically over the next 40-50 years, maybe we get lucky and technology saves us
