He's locked up in a cage. That kid has and IS going through some f'ed shit. Promiscuity, especially at such a young age, can be a sign of sexual abuse and trauma. If he killed someone before, that might be a clue. It seems he is also less important than the sister.
I also don't think she has no home to return to but I guess I will see if I'm right.
