Seems like those children aren't really humans, especially if all of them were originally those baby Cthulhus. Maybe that's why the adults didn't think they'd act like humans or have human-like instincts if they weren't specifically taught that.

I love how the most astonishing thing in a mysterious post-apo world full of lovcraftian monsters, brain transplants and laser pistols are homosexual relationships xD What's wrong with ppl?

And if anything, the only actual same-sex relationship is between those 2 girls in the facility. Aside from that, nothing else, aside from readers being weird about everything.
