Ah, I guess that does explain the long eyelashes. I was confused because Tokio was clearly girlish but was referred to with a male pronoun a couple times (might just have been the previous translators assuming things).

Big thanks for picking up the series, @heynow, it's a real gem and I've only recently discussed it with someone thinking how awesome it would be to see how it continues. And it's better than ever!

The only thing that bothers me somewhat is that
Tokio could be seen taking off her boots before climbing the wall with Kuku as the latter suggested, but in the next scene the boots were on again, as if just to make that footprint a thing.

I mean with the way its presented Tokio is obviously supposed to be thought of as a guy or at least masculine. You can tell by looking at the other characters and the fact the opposite issue existed with Maru. Lots of sexualized child nudity though so im a bit iffy on this
