I'm pretty sure that is the baby Tokio saw when she and Kuku snuck in to see the babies, and it remebered her and thats why we got flashbacks from the POV of the baby seeing Tokio.

The other baby is still MIA i think as we haven't seen it since.

Well this fucks up my idea thinking Maru has to go wake up his mom since she immediately got unfrozen from her sleep state. Maybe she goes into the state again or something. She does wake up to the call of someone calling her mother though when Kona himself couldn't wake her up.

This also implys Nata is Mikura when I thought it would have been Anzu, I guess that makes more sense as I thought Anzu looked a little too young to be Mikura.

Same, I really didn't expect Tokio to be freed so soon. It seems that special ops with the Hirukos was done just the day before the bombs?

It's still not clear how Hirokos are made. Not from Tokio since those 'babies' they went to see where incubated before she got pregnant and maybe experimented on. They must be made with the crystal remnant left when one of the kids dies from the sickness with the bruises. That's the thing I'm confused on: given what Usagi told us, the process is automatic. Die with the sickness=turn into an Hiruko.

But that team really looked like designed for that mission they were sent on. Also, the doctors looked really disturbed by the first occurence of the sickness with Takao? So it didn't fit at first in their plans.

Its not an older model. Melty baby was holding the gun when it got shot and the casing was either blown off by the other death beams or fell off from the impact
