But what the hell. It's so strange and convoluted. Why go through all that trouble? Why even divert a strange asteroid to collide with Earth? Was there something valuable on it, in bringing it down to Earth? Why create those monsters when I'm sure soldiers or mercs would have done the trick? (I forget which 00s action flick has that plot, isn't it Armegeddon? Let's fly to that comet and blow it up/divert its course?)

Sawatari is hilarious when it has no right to be. He's still internally freaking out because he can't tell if that teenage mother is holding her baby or the clone they made without her knowledge or consent. Same with his colleague, asking if it was the Director bodysnatching him, like if it was normal, because it is something they do and have done.
