well technically, maru is kind of an enemy to all hiruko...Thanks for the chapter
I finally realized that Maru is Tokio's kid few days ago (I'm slow, aren't I) since he's looking for twin and the only twin mentioned in story is Tokio's kid and the cloned one and this chapter pretty much confirm it
Still, i don't understand why then think Maru is an enemy. Probably well see the reason next chapter.
If you reread now, even just the first few chapters, you might be amazed at some revelations lol. I didn't even piece together that it was Shiro and Mimihime at the Immortalities arc until after I'd finished all the current chapters. This whole time Maru was tokio’s kid and it never clicked for me?? Every time we switched from Maru to Tokio I was always confused as to why the two looked so alike and it’s only until like maybe a year until I caught up where this chapter drops and finally says it out loud. Man im an idiot for not noticing.
I mean the last scene where the girl says that Tokio is an enemywell technically, maru is kind of an enemy to all hiruko...
Elaborate on the last paragraph please. I think I missed this one. What I wanna know is, how is Kuriko in the Hiruko cave? Did the bouncer at the entrance get their names mixed up

The girl is talking about Maru, not Tokio. And it's likely her referring to how Maru can destroy Hiruko cores (regardless of whether they have been turned into Man-Eaters or not).I mean the last scene where the girl says that Tokio is an enemy
"It's Yamato but it's not. Scary. Either way it's an enemy"
Shiro is Dr. Usami and Mimihime is the cut-up patient in the Immortalities arc.Elaborate on the last paragraph please. I think I missed this one.
Much thanks but I feel like i need explanation to some of the cast. Some are obvious but some are very not so.Here's some character charts updated to reflect chapter 54, if people need help keeping track of cast of characters.
Nice, you picked up all the connection, I also think the lesbian couple in the academy are the same one in seed pig #11 case. Here's some character charts updated to reflect chapter 54, if people need help keeping track of cast of characters.
And Nanaki specifically becoming the Spider-like Man-Eater is even hinted by the cover of chapter 29, which features a single page spread of the spider Man-Eater, the window frames below it are apparently broken in a manner that spells out Nakaki’s name in katakana, specifically ナナ(nana) on the left hand side, and the right hand side window-frame looks like キ(ki).Nice, you picked up all the connection, I also think the lesbian couple in the academy are the same one in seed pig #11 case.
It seems that Maru’s ability only work on the genes of the children from the academy, that’s why it works on Totori back then too.
