He'll pressure the FL to give up using mob mentality which sucks (but the knight was coming in so he'll probably come to her rescue anyway so she'll be fine).

Also, I think she doesn't have to push for it, she was treated without respect and he tried to wiggle a profit for himself (even the other dude realized what he was doing; he was probably also a guild member that kept quiet so there's no point in trusting the guild anymore and best be on her way).

@TCCx32 I can understand you wanting to defend the MC, because you are aware of her positive points due to being able to read further than the first chapter. I was more upset of how the author is trying to tell us about the MC is a hardy girl that has been through a lot of hardships without a complaint through a Japanese god, and immediately show us her crumble emotionally at a tough guild guy trying to rip her off in a brief interaction (from our POV because of the lack of pages spent on this).

I'm hoping that in the following chapters we can see the MC be the character that is implied in the god introduction part of the chapter.

@yanyanamy just because she is hardy and has gone through many hardships means she can't cry? Listen. She's in a completely new world, with no knowledge regarding...literally everything. You saw how she was able to say NO and get out of there after analyzing the situation. That's her hardy attitude.

Then again, it's subjective. We'll see how well it holds up in future chapters.

@yanyanamy She's not "hardy", there are a lot of problems hidden underneath her exterior. The brief explanation from the Japanese God tells you what is up. She grew up being bullied, alone and when she became an adult (first page and more), she JUST got a job thinking everything is looking up for her... Only to be denied of it, given hope by the Gods by teaching her and sending her to their world, pointed the direction of the guild and be ripped off. Emotional distress stack up, people go to the bottle for respite or hobbies and etc. We don't see that with her so she's probably just bottling it up and acting tough.

Meh, if I was in her shoes, despite being "hardy" or not, I wouldn't waste my time with that bs clerk either...I personally would have felt disrespected and walked off too.

Trying to negotiate/haggle in that situation wouldn't be productive and I'd rather sell my shit myself. I know my products are good, (a God of this world taught me my craft) so I'd be feeling myself and say fuck the guild too.

When they try to suck up to me later...tough luck.

Not to uncommon considering ho much of society is just taught to suck it up and suppress their emotions, and do not show negative emotions ever, or you are weak and defective as a human being, regardless of how much you have suffered or bottled up. Or how many sheltered snowflakes there are out there who can not handle anything other then their own view point.

But ya, hardy is one thing though it still has its limits, and having your hopes raised and harshly burst multiple times in short order is going to get to most people.
