For me it's always fun to read about (or watch) people experimenting with food. It's a little different from competition settings where they have to come up with a recipe and execute it, but they don't really have time to experiment. My favorite parts of Shokugeki no Souma were when the characters were testing different things, outside of a competition.

IDK if diff techniques but wasn't bc of diff flavors? Tho she did originally intend to go to france, i imagine "JP style croquettes" ppl are eating in jp during typhoons(?) and such is diff than what you'd get in france


Korean croquettes i've tried, alright, don't care for the onions and grease but meat was alright and a bit of clear noodles inside, wish there was more of the noodles tho
