Somehow I just can't see Violet as be so deluded as to be such an meatheaded pawn. She seemed more the poisonous malcontent that backstabbed each group in turn when they started to loose. Instead the author has chosen to try and turn her into a pitiful scapegoat who was teated little better then a mook. I dont feel any sympathy for this immoral bitch, and I resent the author for the attempt to convince me otherwise.

The trees and the slave seals used by the various empires work on Rock Paper Scissors logic, she backstabbed because she already had orders overriding the orders from the King she stabbed, and like the MC just pointed out, she's set to self destruct to cover the escape of the masterminds controlling her. There's very little difference between her and the Nun from before, just that she wasn't ordered to forget the abuse it seems.

Eh, don't buy it. All along, the slaves have had some ability to resist. Not much but it is still there. Violet has shown no remorse, nor any hesitation. She has wholeheartedly enjoyed her job of mass slavery and wholesale slaughter of men, women, and children.

Conversely the Nun did her best to protect and teach those around her. There was also a gnawing guilt in the back of her mind that even when she was told to forget, would still eat at her outwardly projected persona.
