I'm on Firefox, and am not seeing anything wrong with any of the pages.
Have you tried doing a force-refresh (Ctrl+F5 or Ctrl+Shift+R) while on that page?

He can't keep people in the village, they are getting pushed out after some time, same with himself. He kept the enemy-replicator (or whatever they are called) by them being in the gray area of being robots, so he can still imagine her as a "thing". His village lives by the rules of his perception, if he would be able to think of pows as "inanimate objects" - sure. But i don't think he would be able to magically alter his perception to such degree, it's unconscious in working, and not something that you can just change on a whim.
