Eh. You could tell it was MTLed, it was stilted at some points and some of the word choices felt off but it was better that some MTLs I've read and it got better over the chapter. Keep improving and it'll be fine.
As an example the word you tled as game *or contest feels like it should be duel in these contexts

I've just gotta say

If both families know what's going on here but are thrusting the level of responsibility on the kids I think that they are while refusing to even explain anything to them

Then they are extremely fucked-up people.

This feels uncomfortably bordering on child-abuse in ways I'm dubious the series is ever going to address. I'm certainly upset at his mom, who contrary to how she seems to be supposed to be written, is seemingly having fun watching the kids having serious emotional breakdowns, while keeping the explanations as to what's going on hidden behind her back?? (Alternatively, if she doesn't know what's going on, she's forcing teen child-rearing on her kid for fun, which really isn't any better!) 'Nurturing' my foot.
