I still wonder what the whole thing with his son being the one that's going to kill him is about. Is it going to be like one of those Greek tragedy things where he kills him without realizing it's him? Does he get tricked by someone into doing it?

The way the story is framing it, it's probably going to be a mercy kill of some sort. Like the MC's soul is getting corrupted by the final enemy, so his kid kills him to spare him the pain and allow him to reincarnate again.

Adoptive father is a demon, and his adopted son is the hero. Not saying that death is the only outcome, but daddy seems to believe in absolutes where their coexistence is concerned.

Adding to this, the gods in charge of the two of them are clearly playing a game about it, working together to organize things in the background to lead events to that conclusion. If memory serves, they're not even facing one another as opponents with the MC and son as pawns, they're more akin to collaborating on a grand tragedy with the world as its stage.

What I'm talking about is the fact that God and the devil commented on the fact that the MC's son will kill him saying that it is ironic that he is the one raising him

At this pace Ars will learn resurrection by his teens and will be able to serve as God's proxy to forcibly expel the karma that turned him into a demon.

Or he'll grow up to be the second happiest person in the world after Ezra, and his soul will be destroyed by the pact.

well i already explain in spoiler in early chapter but basically

The reason is because kakyu is basically a foreign being that enter the world and the world treating him like a virus so it tried to get rid of him (The reason why the church goes to village and wipe it out) but then Ars is too strong so it's decided to make a hero and that role fall on Ars which in the end he end up kill him (Thought Ars was only sending Kakyu in the dimension before changing his core making the world think he is a native of the world not a foreign being)
