"oh no, now instead of having no food and no income, we will be provided food, a living space, and an income. those evil nobles exploiting us"Just when I thought I finish reading, another chapter arrives! Hooray! Thank you for the scanlation!
Edit: The Slum Dude's worries about exploitation for cheap labor and not really having the choice refuse aren't wrong, but it's weird that he can express it in front of the noble lords.
I also wish I can read what the protagonist fully has to say after "Standard wage" on page 20 because if the likely worse-than-average performance from the sick, starving, and crippled people from the slums (not only is farm work demanding, quite a lot of the old farming tools I know of expect a person with both hands and legs attached) got their pay cut based on performance, then it can probably still be considered exploitation, right?
One is sour (Sauerkraut, cuz it is sauer, DUH!Kimchi is the same to some extent, both use lactic acid fermentation.
Cold sauerkraut works, too. You can eat it while it served cold. Most pickled foods are fine, but since young, the smell of warm sauerkraut makes me gag.
As far as he know this was meant to deal with just scurvy, that's why he said we don't have a luxury to be charitable."oh no, now instead of having no food and no income, we will be provided food, a living space, and an income. those evil nobles exploiting us"
Yes. i was surprised it does taste better when cold. i do not like it warm. it is somehow little sweet in the taste. definetly not bad at all.Cold sauerkraut works, too. You can eat it while it served cold.
Well if you are not korean (or belong to one of the other cultures where people are bathed in spiciness for all of their life), kimchi can make you spew fire as it is usually horribly spicy, while sauerkraut is just sour (and have a strong smell that can be off putting) so I usually see it as mostly harmless compared to radioactive red kimchi.she got a point, pride can prevail over hunger and/or fear of death to an extent, but everyone doesn't want to die (unless affected by mental illness).

To be fair, it is reasonable to have doubts. You can't seriously mock that thoughts when even now, people are forced to sell their labour dirt cheap in very precarious working conditions. You might say that it is lucky to even get a job in this economy, but it doesn't hide away the fact that it is an exploitation."oh no, now instead of having no food and no income, we will be provided food, a living space, and an income. those evil nobles exploiting us"
I never come across store bought kimchi that's spicy enough to 'spew fire', I don't think anyone wouldWell if you are not korean (or belong to one of the other cultures where people are bathed in spiciness for all of their life), kimchi can make you spew fire as it is usually horribly spicy, while sauerkraut is just sour (and have a strong smell that can be off putting) so I usually see it as mostly harmless compared to radioactive red kimchi.
