I don't think it'd be better if MC killed them. It's true that they were trespassing while armed and assaulted him when confronted, but kidnapped were not MC's subjects. While it's necessary to establish your strength, it's also necessary to not gain an excessive notoriety, given his goal of peaceful coexistence. Even if he has a right to murder all of those thugs for trespassing and assault, it'd be counter-effective in the long run, when he can just capture them alive and send back to human officials (up to discussion if that hassle was worth it).

I’d like to point out, though, that ‘drove’ doesn’t have the meaning you’re using it for. ‘Drove the demon lord to the edge’ is fine, but just saying ‘drove the demon lord’ as shorthand means that either Albert was the demon lord’s chauffeur, or archaically, that Albert whipped the demon lord like a slave or a head of cattle...

@N2O I assume you're talking about dike, but dike wouldn't be said like dyke, but more like nike but replace n with a d. Sykes sounds like dykes for the ykes part so i'm going with common sense rather than a lot of the nonsensical shit in the english language.

To answer your and I suppose @feha 's question as well, it has more of a "cornering" connotation, since they didn't specifically say "killed" or "defeated/took down" in the raw. My bad for letting that slip up, sometimes I forget my ideas aren't conveyed as they are in my head to others.
