The students actually graduating being successful is their measure of success.
While this is probably some kind of test about culling the weak minded that are afraid of the challenge blabla, doing this when they haven’t even had any proper education in the school yet makes it look really stupid. All this does it keep the extremely talented people, those that already barely requires any education.

It depends entirely on where the school starts and ends. It's possible that it can take those extremely talented people and boost them as high as they can get. Assuming they don't require almost any education is fallacious. Not saying it's a good idea, but there is logic behind it.

It always weirds me when stories have these schools/academies that throw a monumental task or competition to their students soon after they join, and before they even got to learn anything there. Almost as if they expect the students to already be supreme masters before enrolling. Food Wars was like that too.

Personally I'm just confused why mc is still there.
Training in a dominus island like place ? He's the hero of dominus island.
Entrance exam ? he blew the instructor away to the point they admitted he had nothing to learn from them...
Couldn't they just say "ok, you graduate good bye" ?
