Ah, yes, nothing quite says "tactical superiority" quite like overwhelming force. Sure, you'll win, but you sure weren't clever about it. Good job, bald man, you win because of pure chance, not because you were better.

That said, if this is all a ruse he cooked up, and that "weapon" is a red herring of some sort, I'll take back my words.

Man, could the storytelling get any more simplistic? This had a great original premise, but the storytelling has just been constantly going downhill...

The fuck is that thing? Some sort of ancient weapon or something like that? I don't recall hearing about anything like that in any of the previous chapters.
Thats cause it jus fucking appeared thanks to some real shit writing by the mangaka here. Probs explained in the novel but fuck looking into that shit show
It's a fake, there was a long long term plan to make one but well, can't exactly make one in the middle of a war especially a localized one like this, the atomic bomb was already being worked on even before ww2 started and just got supercharged when the war started because the us was the richest nation in the world.
Basically this is one long strategy to lure them into a trap, but well you know, the fake is just that, a model made to look like one.

By the end of the day, the kids haven't tried to overthrow Messian Kingdom/Dukedom, and they instead working as strategists under the two princes of Messian. And one of the siblings is completely loyal to the family whose ancestor killed the dad. This means Mireille is right. The dad is dumb.

*Well, the author copied a biography of a Warring States Period (475BC - 403BC) strategist whose name currently escaped my mind, that roughly has the same outline. In that case, the dad (or uncle) was asking the king/duke to hire the strategist as the Prime Minister. The king/duke refused and the strategist ended up working in another kingdom and caused hell to the kingdom that rejected him in the first place.

Sun Bin. He got betrayed and accused of treason by his jealous sworn brother, had his face tattoed (criminal branding), and got kneecapped. So he got revenge by helping Qi beat Wei

It's either fake or they need time to get it ready. The ceasefire is definitely just for time to prepare.

No, different guy. The strategist that I mentioned simply left the kingdom, saying roughly the same thing as in this chapter, "if the king doesn't listen to your recommendation, then why would he kill me?"
