In this case it was a hit to the throat so I think it's possible. As far as I know an injury to the throat can technically make you throw up blood. But well, you could argue that it's his collarbone but then it might be the artist's fault for drawing it that way.

I just realized - the only reason the MC is helping this Marca isn’t “oh racism is bad and I want everyone to be equal”, it’s “oh my status as a rich aristocrat is in danger unless I hire this Marca to help me”. If the guy in question didn’t have any exceptional skills, the MC wouldn’t really care about the racism at all.

@xyzzy thats a big leap based on nothing we've seen. He gave him bread before he know his abilities & after he knew he was a marca. And based on him recalling what a marca looked like from a book, and the fact that he's a toddler, this is probably the first marca he's ever seen. So we don't know what he does or doesn't care about, its been two chapters, I'm sure Marca race relations isn't going to stop being relevant.
