Assuming their numbers were at all accurate, 10k enemy troops here means both of the other fortresses are empty and the main castle is left almost unguarded. Which means by now the other two expedition forces should've figured out the trick and be turning back to either pincer the enemy again or capture the main castle unmolested.

but no I'm sure the genius author who can't even count has a better plan.

Numbers for pretty much anything being so meaningless that the mangaka themselves can't be bothered to remember them--even on the same page--is such a common trope that it's one of the squares in Isekai Bingo.

Kran's forces: 60K total. Of the 60K, 12K will split into three forces of 4K each to assault 3 fortresses with 1K enemy troops in each. An estimated 18K are in Sumak Castle. And Kran will camp outside Sumak with 38K?

What confused me was when the 1K soldiers showed up to begin the pincer movement against Ars. Ars' strategist thought 1K were in the fortress. I gave the author a benefit of a doubt, in that the 1K could have come from Sumak Castle. That would leave 17K at the castle.

And now 10K enemy soldiers have just shown up? So only 7K in Sumak? But what about the other two fortresses? I get that the enemy could then crush the 4k and win at Warumakro Fortress, but they'd lose the other two fortresses and likely Sumak.

I dunno, am I missing something?
