I'm more confused by the fact it is showing that guy peeking in from a door, yet there are no guards to say "hey, uhm, that is extremely illegal listening in on the conversations the king is having after you have been dismissed." Such terrible writing.

The end of the sentence feels a bit off. The nobles don't want to marry the MC them self, this ain't no BL manga... They want the MC to marry they daughter(s).
I think it should be something like this:

• [...] wishing you to marry they daughter.
• [...] wishing you to marry into they family.
• [...] wishing to express a marriage proposal.

At first I was like: Oh, what a nice family with the siblings supporting each other!
But the last page: ROFL, he just wanted to push the marriage proposals on his brother! That was Cain's plan all along with his brothers promotion.

(Btw, they sister got forgotten long time ago.)
