Shoemaker should make shoes, a fluff artist should draw fluff.
Seriously that was just bad "action" just there, hope there won't be much of that in the future.

The action tag is there for a reason, you numbskulls. Although I do admit that this has seriously taken quite the deviation from the original premise.

@Kuraiaku That's because real people sucks. Specially nowadays when we had an inversion of values, where everything that used to be wrong it is now considered the normal thing to do. Hell, we have people who genuinely believe that being a pedophile is ok and they shouldn't be punished for it.
So there you have it, that's why many people like fictional characters.

I have two things to say.

1. the knight: "Behold! EXCU-CALI-BAH"

2. @Kuraiaku
Pretty much the entire issue of this chapter. It truly does feel like 2 children playing super-heroes, and they say out loud what they're doing.
"I attack"
"I block"
"This attack bypasses blocks"
"This shield cannot be bypassed"
"Oh yeah, then--"

I'm not too surprised, though. It's not like any one of us expected something amazing from isekai.

"Chaos is a ladder and its rungs are opportunities." - Merchant of Death

We really need more characters like Elsie in Manga, Tanya is another example of an amoral opportunist.

@GuardianCraze - If you like it, that fine. I kept up on this series because of the contemplative, solemn moments (not sure that's the right desription, just something about the when the MC reflected their past and stuff) the within a few moments of the earlier chapters.

But I definitely understand negative reception. And it's not a desire for a Mary Sue where Argento just perfect rekt everyone. Though I can agree if you're arguing some negativity is fueled to be stronger from the previous chapter.

It just that even though it is an action filled chapter, there's just no weight in the action. It's hard to describe (for at least for me) because good action can be several elements. Some is really good art. Others is excellent choreography. And some is a really good internal logic. This chapter didn't have that particularly special in art or choreography. Meanwhile the logic is just summoning one special power after another. If the vampire used the dragon directly to attack or use the dragon's blood for more power, it really doesn't matter, but there's no internal logic to make it special or interesting. So it's kinda boring.

@GuardianCraze @Monkey123

The issue has nothing to do with her losing. I should have been more clear and concise like TheManBuck. This Mangaka couldnt write a battle to save their lives. This "Encounter" was just a series of "things" that occurred for no apparent rhyme or reason whether its the MC character motivation or abilities or anything.

Still, Tanya is a little stupid. Why? He/she works like a corporate slave instead of killing the superiors (who make too many dumb decisions).

@monkey123 That's probably for the best, she can rack up a ton of achievements with her insane magic while out in the field, and the superiors have to take most of the flak whenever something goes wrong, so I'd say the pros outweigh the cons in her current situation.

The misunderstanding comedy does get old after a while though.

before some Mod descends with a banhammer...
"superiors have to take most of the flak"
So what? In the end Tanya has to fix all the shit the superiors are creating. I am talking about the generals (superiors).

Oh and I don't see how Tanya wants to oppose the god. She makes use of the god stuff by praying. I guess Tanya will be defeated at the end of the series. How many seasons will that be?

The manga is far better than the anime, because the misunderstandings and meanings are better explained. Those anime characters also look meh.

@monkey123 She wants luxury, and revenge against the gods, using her superiors as a shield while she collects promotions, I'm sure she'll dispose of the ones that become inconvenient.

I hope she succeeds, I hate it when a villain protagonist loses at the end, but I won't be that surprised if she does.

Agreed, I've only read the manga, didn't bother with the anime.

I'm pretty sure that it's going to go back to fluff after this, so I don't get why everone is so upset.
Also, I hope Fellnote and Argi end up together

I agree these action chapters kinda sucked, and the slightly broken translation didn't help, but that's probably the last of it for a little while. Tbh if this is what we can expect from any future fights (1-2 kinda dumb chapters) then I won't drop the manga for it.
I like Argent, and I like the premise. I'll deal with the occasional crappy fight for the weird before reincarnation intrigue and to see how Argent's relationships develop. This is the first time I've seen a lesbian relationship in an isekai, and to top it off it also includes an apparent genderbend. Unless a superior version of this shows up I'm content with this.

To let her go is to cause ongoing pain to way too many people. She should have tried to hurry and cut her more, rather than pose or talk. Seriously, she killed the kraken after only short talk, yet here she let's the other person go because she has "hostages"? Even though the protagonist literally is able to remove curses?

Seriously, if the enemy is too busy trying to avoid getting killed by you, they are too busy to be able to make any use of the hostages.

Now I understand why the rating for this series has dropped. I don't mind the last chapter. It fits the enemy personality, and it is the first time the protagonist has really been put off guard. But this letting the clearly pure evil enemy go is a tired trope that should die.

@monkey123 , @GuardianCraze - yes, we are unhappy that our audience stand-in character got ravaged. It goes against the initial appeal of the story, which was about cuteness and fluffiness and overpowered MC. Yes, getting ravaged by proxy doesn't feel good. Well, maybe it would have felt better if it was by a more likable character that that dumb sociopath vampire.
Also, the mangaka is too bad at drawing battles. Even if I read the novel before, I still have trouble figuring what's going on.

@Elmithian - I suspect the Arge knew she doesn't have much energy remaining, so continuing the fight was quite risky. Remember how she dropped unconsciousness as soon as the bad vampire retreated?
Also, Arge is quite weak-willed, I don't expect her to push herself to the limits or do any other shounen protagonist stuff.
