honestly, the storyline and pace this chapter in resolving the issues in this manga are similar to the manga Kanokari (very slow) well, at least 10 pages before the end of chapter, we get battle scene :win:

I hope that hammer guy gets organ puncture and severe internal bleeding. Cripple the others too so they can be dealt with by the wolves and goblins :)

But really now. Tenma's still holding back? They can't keep those adventurers fed and tied up with all the dwindling resources.

I got why the MC want doing stuff before, since you can't just go murdering people when laws/politics seem to be in their favor. But the second the document was shown to be BS there is no justifying not kicking those guys out or at least give them a good thrashing. Maybe even issuing a formal complain to whatever kind of institution controls the adventurers. The whole "people will see you different" doesn't really hold much water as long as you don't go full psycho and tear the thugs apart in front of them or something.

lol, the office boss (the author insert) trying to explain to the audience why his MC ain't doing jack shit with his power.
Ain't nobody buying that shit :u ....
At least it was entertaining flipping through the pages.
Definitely disagree. People would freak out if they knew Mc was basically an unkillable god. Sure the villagers would probably accept him but eventually people would start to fear him and his crazy powers. They’d struggle to get close to him or heck even start worshipping him

Instead, he’s allowing himself to come off as just a strong guy until he actually needs his power and can do it without being seen.

Man, some people are way too bloodthirsty in this comment section. They seem to forget the adventurers might be willing to do these things, but they're paid by someone else to do so. In many settings, adventurers don't just hunt monsters, sometimes they also hunt bandits. It's hardly surprising their sense of morality is warped and I'd personally only see them as tools, with their employer bearing the responsibility of their actions (though in reality, the employer likely will distance himself from them if they ever get caught).

The pig son definitely needs to be dealt with. He's truly rotten so I'm curious what the village chief will choose to do.

I quite enjoy the pace myself even if it's a bit slow. I mean, I was even confused when it suddenly switched from the battle to the thugs playing cards. And as expected, MC is showing how absurdly strong he is.
Yeah I can’t understand how anybody thinks this dirt farm of a village is worth anything
We don't really know anything about the village to be honest. Apparently, merchants rarely pass by, so it appears to be in a frontier and nowhere of use to be a trading nexus. There probably are some resources that could be exploited once the place develops but as shown it appears to be in a poor location for that with the lack of water. So yeah, as it is, it doesn't seem to be exceedingly valuable.

I also don't understand the thugs' logic of getting rid of all the villagers; right now the main value of the village for a potential owner would be taxing the people living in it (and appropriately investing in it so that the villagers generate more wealth and more tax revenue).
This village must be worth a fortune if such high-tier foes capable of fighting dragons are harassing it.
Honestly, these thugs are surprisingly competent. The bald guy might even have a moral fiber, though it's hard to say.
I'm guessing this is just easy money for them. As in, they made a name for themselves as adventurers and then got hired by a wealthy merchant based on those achievements so now they can just get paid well without putting themselves in dangerous situations. (I mean, they might claim they can take down dragons, but they probably can't do it unscathed.)

As for the merchant who hired them, he probably makes enough off of his nefarious activities to cover their pay and make a nice profit on top so that's enough justification on his side.

There's two reasons I can think of.

Mining rights. Someone might have discovered a mineral deposit of gold, silver, or some other marketable metals or gems. Something worth more than the taxes that could be collected in a span of years.

Transport route rights might also be a thing, but this is a rough way of doing it, and won't stop customers from using other vendors instead, unless a route through this area is worth dealing with shady people.

I don't think I've ever been so bored reading an "overpowered in another world" manga. This manga is something unique but I'm not sure if that's a good thing. Hope for everyone that's gonna stick it outs sake it gets better later

Nobody is going to freak out and hate your guts, when you defeat and throw out the egregiously evil bandits, that the villagers themselves ended up fighting.

You think I want the MC to...What? Eat their arms and drink their blood? Atomize their heads and let a fountain of blood sprout?
I've no idea what you thought of, but I guarantee you, all the MC has to do is point out the obvious and act on it.

Justice without strength is just ranting, and he has the public's opinion on his side.
