First, Sei gets a little closer with Scarlet, before she spots her childhood friend in another party and leaves to join him.

Then Sei and the other two girls join the Jet Black Sword party under a loser, teaming up with some cheeky cat-girls. Sei basically coordinates and manages the party while the leader charges in like an egotistical idiot, getting sickly from only eating meat, and tries to banish Sei only to be banished himself.

Scarlet asks Sei for help in-between his own party's expeditions as they confront one of the bosses. The boss puts Scarlet's childhood friend on death's door, and she begs and promises to do whatever it takes to repay him if Sei uses an expensive potion to save him, and he does. Sei comes to collect, and pushes Scarlet into seggs. She has a crush on her childhood friend, but he doesn't like her back. Sei's basically unleashed a monster, and she dominates him in bed, rejecting his love confessions while smiling. But Sei has his revenge: He uses the art of lovemaking to impregnate Scarlet.

Various battle adventures take place, with the final battle being against a party of adventurers who've been ambushing others, earning Sei's party their Bronze Rank. Sei, having spent his naughty time trying to sway both Zofie and Scarlet into following him on his travels, gets neither. The minister of trade Zofie used to be mistress of, comes back, having cleared the charges against him, and proposes marriage, which she accepts. Sei hits the road with only Luna, who everyone starts seeing as a saint... and the adventure continues.

Sei stays with Luna multiple arcs until they part ways, with her aiming for, and quite capable of, taking over the Holy Nation in order to make them accept her marrying Sei in the future. Lots of girls have plot hooks to reunite in the future, I think Scarlet's baby counts as one, and he does miss her sometimes.

Although I don't like that they show these types of things, sadly, these types of things were common, especially if you're lower class person. It is not a Japan-exclusive thing. During medieval times, higher-class citizens or victors of war r-ed and forced themselves on young girls and boys. I think they're including all these graphic details for shock factor, and since it is a monthly manga, they have less restriction too.

You got it except a few things: He wanted an adventurous life instead of an easy one, and the 'kicked from the party' thing is something the story hasn't gotten to. It's a 'hook' or 'stinger', not part of the past.

The catgirl confessed to him a while back, and he told her that he intends to live a dangerous life of adventure, and she's the first person willing to actually follow him into that life... but he was lazing around as a heartbroken drunk after a tragedy, until someone told him he's not worthy of the catgirl, so he left to get his rank up to prove he's worthy.

I felt the need to write that I decided to read the missing novel chapters. I have to say, I kinda get why they were skipped. It feels like it started as a whole different story, then crashed into the current one. It didn’t seem necessary outside a flashback chapter or three.

Granted I’m just at the banishment phase, but even for this manga it seemed a bit gratuitous and unnecessarily detailed. It’s keeping me entertained though. I’m really interested in what the little sister, the princess, and the other strong adventurer lady thought about his “death”. I hope I seem something about it as I catch up on the rest of the chapters.

Also, I’m a little disappointed that he didn’t rob as much as he could from his old home. There’s no way I wouldn’t have stored away a small fortune over that many years. Or loaded up on materials under the guise of training.
