In the case of this and any web novel story there are no editors at the point the story is first created. It’s just following Narou trends or, at the most basic level, simply aping the sorts of novels the creator enjoyed reading there themselves in a kind of perpetual feedback loop.Yeah, and it's pretty obvious whenever the editors or higher-ups forcefully add an element to a story. I'm a simp for isekai's or any kind of fantasy and I enjoy even the trashiest ones (most of the time), but it does annoy me when the isekai element is introduced only for it rarely touched on again.
The original basis of Isekai-type stories is presenting a fantasy world but with a recognisable point of reference in the fish-out-of-water main character, although on Narou it’s devolved into wish fulfilment (“that otaku schmuck with all the power and girls could be me”) and chasing tropes.
