he's 10...? and her brothers who are of age looks to be the same age as the guy...? am I misunderstanding something. because I'm getting confused with 1) her brother's crass behavior out of the blue. her coming back is a welcomed thing by their parents. (though that also begs the question of why her parents or older sister haven't visited her) 2) the age gap, because fmc-ml are staking their claim because of innocence-seriousness. not the worse premise for a age-gap relationship but low-key the king has a point, where if he helps her out of obligation to the point she becomes dependent, it would be hard for her to socialize with others. though her personality doesn't leave me to believe it will turn out like that. hopefully she gets a same age peer...

It could be the words or translation is confusing, and at the same time, it's also mentioned on the same page, "It's no surprise that you were chosen as the most handsome knight in the Unicorn Knights for three consecutive years." Which is another layer of- I don't think this guy is 10, because it would imply that eligible people like older women/men would be voting for his as the 'most handsome,' usually these sorts of rankings confirm attractiveness/marriage eligibility.
Height and pure intent aside, his stoicism and sense of responsibility leaves me confused on how old he is. As we aren't given as straight forward of an answer on his age like her family members where their age is included in the text box.

I think it's a mistranslation, which is to be expected of art lapsa, I think it was meant to be he inherited the title of duke before he turned 10

Man... I remember how in the other manga, the one when she reincarnated, she remembered after sealing the demon king her brothers abandoned her despite her being out of energy and wounded.

Would be interesting if we finally see how they manifested such hate for her, despite her being such a wholesome kid. Also, whay happened to Sirius? Was he also part of the people whom abandoned her?

All I got from that line was actually he became a duke WHEN he was 10. It doesn't say he's 10 now.

At any rate, the LN mentioned he was 19 when he became vice commander of the knights.

Ah- perhaps I was attached to the idea of a smaller age gap. I don't see much romance atm but there definitely is tropey foundations for it to develop into one.
