It helps if you think of that in the context of its original release. First, keep in mind that those pages would have been part 1 of 5 for that chapter. After the first 3 full chapters were done there likely would have been a publication break to prepare for volume release, so it makes sense to have a portion of recap.

Their base personality is still the same and they still retains their memories, but there's a clear bias towards him after the effect.

Luna just have no qualm embracing the new pleasure from it, either because she is 'live in the present' type or her past was bad enough she doesn't care to dwell on it.
