Either way it is lost on the sea... But is this even two ways? That "breath weapon" from Fenrir actually make his dragon knocked out at least and his ship is broken and on fire.... Who knows where his weapon is? It could be somewhere on the burning wreckage, it could have fallen off the ship.... All that's relevant is its not on his hands
