Manga Author probably wants to spice up the initial boring start of this Cooking arc by adding all these elements that only come a couple of volumes down the line. But wouldn't it be way more better to rush through the initial preparatory part of the cooking arc and go on to the actual plot of this arc.

This is a bit random, but remember when this series entire focal point was to "Evolve" the MC from "the weakest black-Cat race"?
It has been so long now, that it feels like that pivotal goal was completely offsetted by "just" acquiring more and more spells and sword techniques, and then completely went off the rails with literally anything else, like a long arse political arc.

Like, there's 0% attempt to find out "how to evolve".

Well, at this point she's fairly strong anyway, and have mostly been getting stuck at various places that have long arcs. Still, yeah, I'd like to see more evolution happening.
