You know, this is a very Miltonian demon we've got here. I think I can understand his motivations-- he loved the saint, right? He wasn't supposed to, but he did. She died, he had to deal with that, but now he's confronted again with the same conflict: loving the thing you're supposed to hate. Does he let himself get hurt? Is a demon supposed to do that?
Came for the smutty comedy and stayed for the fraught romance with subtle commentary on masculinity and vulnerability.
