MC mana was depleted, and I presume it was the same for the girl afetr healing everyone else, healers are rare enough that 2 was already a incredible occurence.
But the real problem is a lack of mana recovery items. or that MC never found one in the chests.
If the author introduces potions or makes so MC get the right drop in the following chpaters is pure poor planning on his part, just wanted the strong guy dead, but given how little he appeared outside this fight is not like we got attached to it, we don't even know much about his lore aside being a fallen pricne and his pet being cursed.

Feel like they didn't need to kill him off like that. Not enough character development for us to have it have more impactful for us. Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth

Don’t we have another healer in the back line….. ok are we really really sure this wasn’t written by an Ai and it forgot 8yr old with massive chesticles can also heal and yes I’m being a petty as because they have not explained healing in any decent capacity is it really that hard for writers to realize you either go all in on lore, power systems, story, comedy, or characters. You need one of these.
