Oh shit, this is taking place way further back than I thought. The original leader of the Beastketeers is still active, and the current Orc King is Geld's grandfather (Rimuru's Geld, not Orc Disaster Geld, who is the baby shown).

It'll take longer, and the plan of "someone" will also be delayed, but I'm guessing Rimuru will still become a DL and still build a town and all but at a much slower pace. Afterall, Rimuru does have the storm dragon Veldora inside of him and his Predator + Great Sage skill gives his power up as long as he doesn't become lazy.

Wait so does this mean Rimuru won't eventually have Geld in his ranks?
Or just have Clayman team up with Rimuru at this point. Doubt he'll go along with Yuuki with how he's getting along with his subordinates

There will be huge changes though, as the ogre village will not be attacked by the orcs and he won’t become the leader of the forest as there will be no orc invasion. It will be hard for him to increase the size of the goblin village without a major event like the orcs. Not getting to predate on the orc Lord will also make a big difference if he makes it to demon Lord as that’s needed for gluttony.

It's meant to be a gag here but the idea you can unintentionally "name" makes this universe terrifying to function in, especially as a leader. Like, if intention isn't part of the process, how is it decided when you are simply referring to someone by title, versus actually naming someone? Can you only safely interact with people who are already named? Do you rely solely on pronouns and generalizations, or could even those become a name if you use them enough? I would be a goddamn hermit and never talk to anyone.
