Yuki is in fact the main big bad and honestly he's (narratively) the worst kind of villain because he acts entirely through proxies and manipulation so there's no real payoff or catharsis to be had until he runs out of options and finally has to fight himself.

Every time I see Rimuru's human form, I cringe really hard.

Then again, most people with that level of power would have done horribly in Rimuru's situation. So there's some credit to give to the author for making the story somewhat decent.

i myself havent read up to the point where rimuru has gotten to catastrophe level but from what i've heard, rimuru does some weird stuff like fusing with veldoras magic core and becomes as strong as a true dragon, also im pretty sure this is web novel so i dont know if the light novel changed this
