2 possibilities,
1. Grandpa is distant cause he doesn't like specifically Dad; and most likely being, more or less, indifferent about Millie
2. The front end employees are all garbage and are the reason for them all being estranged.

Gramp pulled a sensible move of not provoking a girl who shook the whole room and knocked out multiple adults.

I'm sorry. I just want to finish this series till the last update. So i can move to another manga.
If I may, on the 3rd panel, page 18, I think they were inner monologues, all the pronouns should be in 1st person.

Feels like this is, Grandpa was mad that Joe stole his angel daughter. It didn't matter who it was, they were never going to be worthy of his angel. Who he still adores.

So the cliche over protective dad trope.
Even if it’s not the grandpas fault I half expect mc to be like “dad got attacked by a guild member” and the mom raging at him herself

Feels like she should at least have had them arrested if not like torn off a limb to establish dominance but that wouldn’t happen in these kinda series

It really reminded me of Myne's rampage in Ascendance of the Bookworm.

New member of the Team Millie is about the sign up. Let's go grandpa!
I am still curious as to how Millie's reunion with her biological family will be.

Funny Gramps uses the phrase "I'll ask someone trustworthy" twice here, when Millie has every reason to distrust him.

Thanks for fast upload! Last chapter left a bad aftertaste, but looks like it was resolved nice and quick without delving into any long drawn drama. I feel refreshed.

Waaaay to merciful... those 3 deserve death.
I also tend to be quick with death sentences, but in this case: No, they really don't. The scamming employee and the guard who overreacted and beat Millie's father down deserve to be brought to justice, but that's it.

Looks like the head of the guild has some integrity. Still, I'd have expected the scammer to have handled many contracts so the ones scammed have apparently not been very outspoken and never made more than one contract (since with contracts from another employee, they might have noticed the difference.) They also don't have an auditing system.
It's also amazing this guy wanted to destroy the evidence of this contract, but has tons of scam contracts apparently directly linked to him that are filed. It seems pretty insane to want to cheat the system under these conditions where it's very easy to gather evidence against him. Also, was he showing off his wealth through his clothes? That's a bit of a giveaway that he's living beyond his means.

Well, the guards were just doing their job; he didn't call specific guards after all. The violence they exhibited might be an accepted response in this story's setting. Unless they did their job incorrectly, there's little reason to punish them.

Vietnam has recently convicted someone doing financial fraud to the death penalty, but that's pretty rare for that type of crime. No clue how the scamming employee will be punished in this setting; prisons? Slavery? Death penalty? They'll have to find some way of paying back the damages and they likely won't be able to do this type of job. I doubt we'll learn what happens to this guy though.
