And the hand-thing literally pushed his soul into the living weapon girl (you can even see it on page 12 where the hand push something out of him into the girl)
The living weapon girl had no soul, she was an artificial being and thus no personality (which is why the prince is overjoyed at her showing personality)

Hitomi-chan is the hero thats suppose to kill the demon lord. The demon lord created Aki-kun's new body as a weapon against the hero. The weapon was an attempt to kill the hero but Aki-kun's first body grts caught in the cross-fire and an entity (god?) allows Aki-kun to be reincarnated into the weapons body who killed him in the first place. Now they're on opposite sides and no one but Aki-kun and (god?) knows he's in the weapons body. I might be wrong tho lmao
