now that he has unlocked a new area, i wonder if he would sometimes visit the place for sightseeing and met some kids that he'd befriends (probably some noble kids)
I must say I'm surprised there wasn't more chopstick worship. "Wow, these little wooden sticks are so much classier than the metal crap we use, I'm never eating with anything else again!" Maybe that's the next chapter once they've gotten used to using them.
Would be interesting to see a counterpart to that, where the MC meets a culture brought from someone isekied from somewhere else, like, thinking about food, beans on toast (UK), or Vegemite (Australia).
I can see it now, two years in Kagura and another two years to get back home… Maybe he’ll end up curing the princess so they can start a refrigerated storage empire and buy an island to retire on.
This is pretty much how I would teach others how to use chopsticks. You establish how you hold a pencil/pen and place the other stick under it. You're basically just moving the top stick and holding the bottom part.
As for the arc. It's fine and all but in reality it is just heavy glazing for jp culture and since it does seem to be a rather common thing in an isekai it does get old pretty fast.
as far as im concerned all of japanese culture consists of like 6 inventions ramen, kimonos, katanas, hot springs, geta and chopsticks because thats the only things ever shown
Well, the worst examples of "Oh japanese thing superior" is when the mcs want to make katanas and go for iron sand instead of better materials, specially when they have to import it from [not Japan].
