LHtranslation being shitty as ever. Bet you the second someone else puts out a chapter they’ll conveniently start putting this out again...

I could understand the forcing him to learn how to wield a sword if they just explained it to him that there could be situations where his magic/mana is sealed and he needs another way to be able to protect himself, but on the other hand anyone/thing strong enough to seal his mana is definitely not going to be stopped by half-assed swordplay either.

Its been so long since I read this I almost forgot about it. After reading this chapter I remember why I stopped reading it. The life of a kid who is physically and mentally abused by his family and friends but since it suppose to be funny its okay.

@Akabane It is annoying that they are still doing it that way. He should grow in his own way. I still don't understand why his father seems against magic. A physically strong mage who has skills in various martial arts is pretty dang good imo

Ah usually this type of sister when she thinks she’s so great then the tables turned on her she’d be broken or becomes a psycho towards her little brother

This whole story began with the MC walking straight in front of a truck like a zombie, thus killing himself. So, that's basically the baseline for Al's inherent level of intelligence. That being said, magic is forbidden in the sword practice, but obviously magic is not forbidden in magic practice, the sword is. By relying on his superior magic, he can keep beating Silvio and Elenora as much as he wants. I doubt his loser "dragonslayer" dad ever participates in magic practice, but it should bring Al enough satisfaction to beat his brother and sister 100-0. Plus he would know he would beat his father easily, should the dad ever dare to participate. Naturally the father knows that as well, so he never will.

Elenora has room temperature IQ, so she's blissfully ignorant of Al being, relatively speaking, better with a sword than she is with magic. Her muscles for brains condition thus saves her from humiliation. This is essentially why Al can keep struggling through these farces of swordsmanship lessons: he knows that for him they are just auxiliary skills and with his real skills, he's stronger than most of his opponents, despite only possessing the body of a six years old. That's quite a luxurious situation to be in and not much of a problem psychologically.

Not allowing him to use magic isn't kind of unfair? That also has no experience value whatsoever, right?
I mean, realistically, when in combat, as a magic swordman he would always use magic. Getting stomped free by literally everyone when he can't use magic is quite unfair in my opinion, and worst, people still feel good and superior about fighting him like that.
No its not, its sword training, not using magic is a given.

So glad to see the comment reflect what I think about this chapter.

Manga dad:
Look at my small children, I make them fight for our enjoyment.
And when they are done beating each other, you as an adult can have a turn giving a beating.
But only against the ugly runt of the family, you know the dead eyed kid who is raking in cash left and right and is better at magic.
Lets make him use a sword, ban magic and then throw his siblings at him to soften him up before your turn. Just wait until you see what kind of damage his mentally deranged sister can do to him. It's an entire show.
What is this break you are talking about? The runt can still talk, that means he can fight.
What do you mean abuse? No no, it's not abuse! It's love!
It's not true unconditional love if he isn't physically and mentally hurt at every opportunity.
No lmao, stop making shit up just to shit on the dad

@Scholtz It is abuse if he always gets beatings in that form, without that someone takes his side. More often then not people who get abused by family dont defend themselves, because they are "trained" that they deserve it. That can even happen to adult people and is by no means something that justifies all of that.
If the dad and family would make the siblings compete with the MC in terms of Magic or something like that, then it would be another thing. But that doesnt happen and it is more like, that the father doesnt want his son to be a mage. He is directly wasting all the talent his son has for magic, because the family are knights and the daugther and eldest son have talent in it.

At start they did encourage him, but in the last chapters they only hold him down and abuse him like that. That the father did go overboard to knock his son out is 1 thing and is taken as something natural without any form of acknowledgement that it was too much.
Also if we seee how MC is treated and NO ONE says anything to defend or praise him even though he did great things for their area.
Even if it is the kink of the Author, this doesnt make it better, on the contrary it makes it worse. It doesnt fit into the story and just makes it really really bad writing. Maybe go the classic and let him have a love interest later that he is completely whipped by her. THAN it would have a fun twist (even if it is somewhat standard), like this it isnt anything besides abuse.

PS: To the ones who think of this as hilarious and funny: IF the author wouldn't make it that the MC gets hit again and again and would have the same amount of good things, it would be different.
For example: He has a match with magic involved against his brother and wins rather easy and gets a bit cocky and then the father says round two without magic and the MC gets "destryoed" because he is so much weaker .... that would be funny and a joke. But like this it is not. Any sane person who says this is funny should truly question himself.
Its not abuse, stop throwing that word around

Nope, that's dumb, and definitely abuse.

Also, I come back because the premise is fun, and because of sunk cost fallacy.
I've been promised a fun, relaxing isekai with an OP AF character, and I've spent more than a year reading it
Now, all I see now is a young boy bullied by his whole family and friends. But I was still hoping...

It's to the point that it's getting dumb. Could you please explain to me why the crazy strong-as-a-gorilla waaay older sister can use her full power while sparing, but he can't ?
She's getting cocky as fuck, and he's getting hurt, but not only nobody gives a shit (even his mom), but they actually laugh at him...

Maybe if he could stomp his sister once, the dynamic would become interesting, but nope, it's so much more fun watching a baby get beaten blue by people who are supposed to protect him.

But now, I don't see where the author could take this shit story anywhere that isn't dumb and infuriating.
So, yeah, that's it for me, i'm dropping this. I've read revenge stories with more endearing villains than this boy's family.
Its not abuse.

Crazy how 90% of this comment section doesn't know what abuse actually is and means.

Nice try to ragebait in an ultra old comment section. Would recommend trying to do that in newer chapters and mangas, there it would be more effective ... or do something more productive with your time. Learn a language, learn IT or something like that for example, that could help you greatly in todays job market.
