I dropped this at chapter 44. I've been trying to hold on since very early on, hoping it will get better, but I just can't anymore.

The MC is mentally 30+ years old already, but he behaves worse than his current age (4-7 years old). What broke the straw for me was when he started a fistfight with another 7-year-old kid (not his first time) because of a minor disagreement over food DURING a noble party. It was truly appalling, especially considering he is able to handle abuse (both physical and mental) from his father, mother, sister, maids, and many others. He blurts out words without thinking, and this kind of HARDCORE uncouth behavior will ruin his job and social life in this day and age, or anywhere really. He acts without thinking, playing childish pranks on others. He has knowledge of his previous life and is also a genius at magic but only gets to use them for his inventions, playing around, and doing pranks. He wants to have a slow life, but it looks like he enjoy being abused instead. Everybody walks all over the MC, and he just tolerates them. But when it matters most, like not starting a fight with a child at a noble party, the MC somehow snaps into the most childish behavior ever.

The worst part is: many side characters are abusive toward the MC. His father physically and mentally abuses him. His mother also physically and mentally abuses him. His sister physically and mentally abuses him HARD, slapping him in the face with a slipper, punching him for no reason, saying 'the voice in my head told me to.' The maids abuse him mentally. Many villagers have no respect for the MC, even as a noble's child, and they abuse him as well. For example, the restaurant owner forces the MC to clean the dishes because he pissed her off by a harmless joke.
99% of the characters treat the MC like trash, and everybody has 0 common sense.
Shoulda rename this manga name to 'Tensei Shite Inaka De Abused Life Wo Okuritai'
Terrible.

It's a good 'slow life' manga, but that mostly speaks about how shit the others are compared to this one.

The MC is a spineless moron, first when he reincarnated he could choose any other ability on top of magic control and he chose teleportation of all things (teleportation was a part of the ancient magic he ALREADY had).

Second I don't know how a mentally 30 year old guy is permanently bullied by literally everyone he comes into contact with.
His sister is the most annoying part of this manga... I get that during 'practice' he is not allowed to use magic, but in all other cases wtf is he doing? She just randomly punches and harasses him out of nowhere and he treats her like a natural disaster he can't avoid or go against when he can just teleport away or just simply use the magic he was given to beat her up.
Anyway this manga would be 10x better if only the MC had at least some balls to actually use his abilities.

TL;DR: MC is spineless and an idiot, sister is really, really annoying.

Providing criticism and opinions = soft? This world is so hard to live in. Attacking others' opinions without providing constructive feedback is not good. Please don't do this outside of the internet.

Bro.. When I read the comments, I was like "wtf?" . This is a slice-of-life anime, not a fcking shounen with kaboom everywhere. Yeah, he's 30, but he has worked for all his life. That's why he acted childish, because HE'S A FCKING CHILD. Wtf do you guys expect? A 30-year-old in a body of a child learning op powers and become an adventurer and explore the world? Bro, check the tag and the content for that. And for the abuse, seriously, are you guys Asian? That's not even abuse, it's more like teasing? Why do you guys keep exaggerating things up haiyaa? And that fcking blah blah blah arthur that I dont give a sht, let me tell ya, do you EVEN have a sibling? If you dont, you never get the feelings of siblings fighting each other for no god damn reason? And if you said it didnt happen, I give no sht because you're telling lies. And the dishwashing... The dishwashing... You're definitely brainrot.. He could even escape from that, like you said, a magic genius. But he didnt. That's how he can strengthen the relationship with his people, like his father said before. And those relationships, are the basis for the SOL element of the manga. And if you dont like it, just get the hell out of here. This is not a fcking airport that needs yall telling that you're leaving, because we give no shit

For a slow life isekai manga, this series is.. really rage-inducing.
The MC basically gets physically abused by both his sister and parents like every chapter, plus that his maid even straight up extorted him once.

>"Oh yeah that's just how asians siblings get along, you guys are just exaggerating"
Well guess what, I'm a fucking asian too with 2 older siblings, and that doesn't make me less mad about obvious signs of abuse camouflaged in the name of "family bonding".

Chapter 27 and all I could think about since the beginning is this:

This would've been a good Isekai, slice of life manga if not for that absolutely irritating pos that is the MC's older sister. She does not respect his space, constantly hits him, drags him to sword practice even if he doesn't want to and it's not the scheduled practice, etc. I've read some comments that it's just 'teasing'; it's not! I got tired of this abusive, yandere trope and I know it's traditional in Japanese manga but wtf. And this MC just let's his sister AND the maids do that to him. The maids, hit their employer for sugar. Again, wtf. Grow some spine if you ever want a slow, easy life, MC! Or is that your kink?

Like a lot of other commenters, I came close to quitting this manga. The slapstick and tough love of Al's family, especially his sister, gets very tired, very fast. I'm also not a huge fan of the worship of modern food these Isekai mangas all seem to indulge in. Must entire volumes be devoted to these people trying to get / develop rice, miso, and soy sauce every time? In the end, though, I'm glad that I stuck with it. By the time he and his parents go to the Royal Capital all of that stuff calms down quite a bit and his sister's stupid antics become much less frequent. Which is a good thing because, when Al interacts with other people like Roomba, Tri, Bartolo, and, in the more recent chapters, the adventurers who are escorting Tri's caravan, this manga becomes downright hysterical.

It's a gag manga, so cartoon violence is kind of expected. So long as it's kept low key and rare the way it has been the last 30 chapters or so, I can live with it. I'm hoping Al starts interacting with a lot of other characters from now on and I have high hopes for his sister's absence while she's in the capital studying with the knights, away from the family. Al's not spineless, he's a kid, whether he has the mental development of a 30+ year old or not. He's a wise ass who's enjoying his new life the way he couldn't before and, despite his complaining about people taking advantage of him, he likes making the people around him happy.

So, the story's worth sticking with, honestly. If you really can't stomach the sister violence, stick with it and skim a bit until chapter 40 or so. It gets better. The later chapters had me laughing quite a bit.

Yeah. I can understand your troubles.
I just ignore the overused tropes or the "look at these barbarians who can't invent a boardgame!" and stuff like that.
It's like with many of the isekai manga/wn/ln ... starts. Truck kun is easy. As is "look culutred food/items!" in a different world. Realy good isekai stuff is rare. Fun fact ... the best ones start to come from english writters atm. Stuff like Wandering Inn, Sylver Seeker, The Dao of Magic (which sadly doesn't get much updates atm... to scared to check if the author still continues it) or All the dust that falls are way better then most of the stuff that comes out of japanese writers.

I'm sticking for the humor with manga i still read. Specially Roomba and the guys interacting with Al is nice. Good vibes.
Outside of that, maybe a few bunches of interesting plots.
But most are just "what again?!?" situations ya described.
Low hanging fruit.

Wooooooowwwww!!!!
Another isekai where the mc gets pushed around by everyone constantly, It's like the writers have a fetish for being bullied or something. You can make it interesting without having the family insult him or beat him everyday. And why does he keep making them food and taking the beatings, he should've killed the sister in the beginning, one small icicle lol.
