His father beats him up, his mother beats him up, his sister beats him up, one of his maids extorted candy from him. Plus the 20 something chapters I've read before dropping it were: Main character wants to do something, family member walk over him like a fucking doormat because they can't spend half an hour without forcing him to do what they want him to do, whatever main character was trying to do comes out with the opposite effect.

I hate this story. The characters are all a-holes to the mc, especially his bitch sister. It's one of those situations where the author thinks it's okay for the cast to be mean to the mc constantly because they like him in their hearts or some BS. Tell me, would like you like someone if they constantly insult you, extort you for things, make you do chores the servants are suppose to do, etc, just cause they're family or friends? No, right? These people are annoying as hell and I can't fathom why the mc puts up with them. I would find it very amusing if he snapped at any point and kicked all their asses, but he doesn't seem to like standing up for himself.

Kinda agree the the two comments on this page (& didn't read any of the others). If you don't look beneath the surface, it's a fine read, but once you do it's kinda jarring.

Food theft is just plain not okay, especially since he bought the stuff w/ his own money & took his time to make & save it for later. If he wanted to share it, that's fine, but "forcing" him to isn't.
It's even shown that he has to hide the food otherwise it'd be taken.

And regarding the sister, while it's understandable (bonding experience + fantasy world w/ monsters), it's shown she focuses on Al when she has another unathletic brother as well (the bookworm)
And that she sees him hating it--avoiding her and such--but still continues.

It's kinda off imo.

This story has 2 main problems, which also conflict with what you're saying:
1. Almost everyone rip into the MC, specifically his sister.
2. The MC has the power to fight back, but doesn't, because of contrived reasons.

The MC truly has no reason to allow anyone to treat him that way, but he allows it anyway, because the author follows suit with the idea that: "A tsundere hitting me is funny, because she's a girl, so she can't do me any harm because I am a man".
That's some 2000-era humor that's on the cusp of extinction these days, but still rares its ugly stupid head anyway.
And even if we extend it to: "The youngest is taking shit, because, he's the youngest" -- it still makes no sense, because he has no in-world, in-story reason to take shit from anyone. The author wrote the MC to fully accept taking shit from others, for no reason.
(Accepting abuse because "I don't want to stand out" is supposed to be a reason? Get out of here...)

I dropped this at chapter 44. I've been trying to hold on since very early on, hoping it will get better, but I just can't anymore.

The MC is mentally 30+ years old already, but he behaves worse than his current age (4-7 years old). What broke the straw for me was when he started a fistfight with another 7-year-old kid (not his first time) because of a minor disagreement over food DURING a noble party. It was truly appalling, especially considering he is able to handle abuse (both physical and mental) from his father, mother, sister, maids, and many others. He blurts out words without thinking, and this kind of HARDCORE uncouth behavior will ruin his job and social life in this day and age, or anywhere really. He acts without thinking, playing childish pranks on others. He has knowledge of his previous life and is also a genius at magic but only gets to use them for his inventions, playing around, and doing pranks. He wants to have a slow life, but it looks like he enjoy being abused instead. Everybody walks all over the MC, and he just tolerates them. But when it matters most, like not starting a fight with a child at a noble party, the MC somehow snaps into the most childish behavior ever.

The worst part is: many side characters are abusive toward the MC. His father physically and mentally abuses him. His mother also physically and mentally abuses him. His sister physically and mentally abuses him HARD, slapping him in the face with a slipper, punching him for no reason, saying 'the voice in my head told me to.' The maids abuse him mentally. Many villagers have no respect for the MC, even as a noble's child, and they abuse him as well. For example, the restaurant owner forces the MC to clean the dishes because he pissed her off by a harmless joke.
99% of the characters treat the MC like trash, and everybody has 0 common sense.
Shoulda rename this manga name to 'Tensei Shite Inaka De Abused Life Wo Okuritai'
Terrible.
