Yeah, I think it's objectively the right decision to go forward with their plan, but it's good to be aware/conscious of the drawbacks -- very easy to overlook or outright dismiss them in interest of the greater good. Like, it makes me think of how Lia's dad wasn't "allowed" to cross the country's borders to try and rescue her when she was first kidnapped (because he was too important to the country to risk like that).To be fair, he says it like it is a deep and important thing with impact on all their descendants that they need to think over, very carefully. All he is saying is to not go into it lightly because it is a self-enforcing, permanent pact.
