At this point, I'm not sure if Lia's just acting like a child or if she actually has the impulses of a normal child but also just has adult knowledge.

It's pretty common in these types of stories for the body to affect the mind. She has the memories and experiences of an adult, but putting those in a child's brain doesn't make the child an adult. it gives her a better perspective and lets her think more rationally, but she still likes what a child would

wow, the prince has actually a condition.
I expected him to be just getting cranky every now and then due to the abuse of his teachers/etc.
reminds me of the devouring from ascendance of a bookworm. abundant magic that can't be released basically acts as poison to the body, causing intense fevers and slowly killing the child

Thanks for the chapter! I was ready to wait for months for a new one, but was pleasantly surprised when I checked today.

Thank you so much for the translation! But please don’t overwork yourself, uni is a difficult time for anyone and 10-hour schedules at that? I commend you for the daily uploads but if it ever gets too much, please take as long a break as needed.

her mind is adult by her brain is a child. hormones and brain development impacted her in decision making and impulses.

just like mentally disorder person that of medication relapsed and doing something that wrong but can't stop themselves. her biology affecting her mind thus despite with all the knowledge as adult, she can't avoid to commit something childish. that why her speech is like a baby as her muscle not yet properly developed.

Oh, that's interesting. I had assumed that the magic surplus was causing pain and resulting in his tantrums, but it doesn't appear like he's in any pain. He is flushed though, so perhaps it's a general sense of irritation that he's feeling causing frayed nerves. Or maybe the magic surplus is just directly modifying his behaviour and the excitement is causing him to be flushed. I hope we get the next chapter soon, since I'm quite curious about how the Orlbans will suggest a solution without giving away that they can see magic; the prince is going to have to train his magic or get it sapped by a stone, and they can't really have people know that the Orlbans were the source of the solution without it becoming obvious that they can see magic.

Thank you for the translation!

What will the royals want to give/do to Lia when she solves the problem with the unruly prince?

Forget about biology and logic. The prince blushing at that age makes no sense no matter how you see it

If I understood correctly, he is not "blushing" (like when catching feelings), he has a sort of (magic ?) fever.

Yes and no. While it's true he was "blushing" from some sort of "magic" fever, you can clearly see him blushing as a reaction of Lia's touch

Only if we take it according to modern sensibilities. Remember the setting and people are in a place where everyone is generally very conservative, and what more, the aristocracy have certain personal protocols for personal space and distance between people, especially with the opposite sex. The royals even moreso, and the Prince would have received that orientation as part of his education.

Going into his highness' condition, signs suggest it is running a bit out of control, and it rather does bear a resemblance to the Devouring in Ascendance Of A Bookworm. But rather than pain...the impression I get is that it's affecting his mental state by either affecting his hormones, or intoxication and directly affecting his mind. If the latter, then his condition is essentially getting mana-drunk. Like alcohol, his magic has to run its course through his system, but over a longer period of time, and nobody in the palace seems capable of diagnosing that.

Based on context, rather than his fever being dissipated, it just seemed to me he didn't have a fever at all. At least not in the physical sense, and Lia already suspected that just from looking at him.

Does only the barrier handler family handle magic? It is kinda weird that the royal is lost on how to take care of this. . Sickness. Like they are completely clueless.
